Lysá hora (1,323 m) is the highest mountain in Beskydy and at the same time the queen of all the Silesian mountains.
It is situated between the villages Krásná, Malenovice, Ostravice and
Staré Hamry. Lysá hora offers a unique view of the Beskydy ridge and valleys,
Jeseníky, Malá and Velká Fatra, Vysoké and Nízké Tatry and Martinské hole
mountains. On its peak there is a meteorological station, a TV transmitter and
mountain rescue service. Ostravice village is the most favourite starting point
where four tourist paths start. Other possible starting points are Malenovice,
Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, Krásné or Visalaje.
